Reporting:      POST SALES APPLICATIONS MANAGER

Duties will include:
 
Experience: To include one or more of the following
 
·        3 years experience on General CMM Metrology software
·        Extensive knowledge of working with CAD data in standard industrial formats
·        5 years CNC programming experience including Offline programming from CAD data
·        Experience with GOM Cameras, Articulating Arms or Laser Trackers  
 
 
Customer Training:
·        Ensure the training quality provided by Metris is deemed ‘Best in Class’.
·        Training of Metris personnel when and where required.
·        Developing new training products to meet current and future business needs.
·        Obtaining and maintaining Metris training accreditations, e.g. NVQ’s, etc
·        Using own initiative to solve problems
·        Working knowledge of various hardware combinations, computer systems.
·        Must keep up-to-date with changes to operating systems as well as all software produced and installed by Metris.
·        Writing technical, reference and training manuals.
·        Training customers on the use of equipment to an advanced level and then supporting these customers with day to day technical issues not only at a product level but also on Metris software
 
Sub Contract Inspection & Part Programming:
·        Ensuring the quality of Part Programming/Sub Contract Inspection is deemed ‘Best in Class’.
·        Ensure engineering drawings and specifications are accurately interpreted.
·        Performing data inspection- also known as deviation analysis – to provide a graphic comparison of physical or geometrical part data to a nominal CAD model.
·        Liaising with customers to create part program specifications in line with the Metris quality procedures.
·        Visiting customer’s sites to evaluate and assist using our product that will allow the collection of complex 3D data. This then is interpreted into a physical part model and in turn allows the customer to recreate the parts electronically.
·        Managing and planning projects to ensure they are delivered on time and to budget.
 
General:
·        Adhering to all in-house procedures and policies
·        Remain flexible to the current and future needs of the Metris business
·        There is a requirement for travel in the UK and ROW, which can be both planned and at short notice.
·        To complete all Metris required documentation
·        Meeting individual and team targets
·        Set a high standard of self presentation and delivery
·        Undertaking any reasonable request made by Management
·        Second languages to include Chinese, Mandarin, Japanese
