Reporting to: Business Development Director

Role overview:

The China (Asia) Sales Development Manager (electronics and industrial Computed Tomography: X-ray) should promote, using marketing material produced by the marketing department, the company’s products with an aim to meet the target for the territory.

Key tasks & responsibilities:

  • Manage the distribution channel in territory.
  • Work with territory directors to maximise distribution channel of X-ray products.
  • Sales to electronics manufacturers in China (Asia).
  • Sales of X-ray Computed Tomography for non-electronics applications
  • Attend trade exhibitions as an exhibitor and supporting in the territory as required.
  • Present technical papers at seminars.
  • Prepare quotations with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Feedback information on market requirements and competitors to the marketing manager.
  • Ensure distributors are up to date with marketing literature.
  • Ensure distributors are up to date with technical product knowledge.
  • Ensure customer’s samples are inspected in a timely manner and that a professional report is returned.
  • Keep personally trained on the operation of the company’s products by regular use of demonstration equipment to inspect customer’s samples.
  • Organise and oversee the logistics of agent/customer visits and ensure that transport, travel, entertainment, demonstration equipment, refreshments are available.

Performance Indicators:

  • Produce weekly updated prospect lists in online sales management tool
  • Produce weekly visit reports and action plan against territory sales and marketing plan
  • Produce weekly call plans
  • Attend Sales Meetings when required
  • Measure the order intake against target and respond as necessary.

 General:

  • Adhering to all in-house procedures and policies
  • Remain flexible to the current and future needs of the Metris business
  • Set a high standard of self presentation and delivery
  • Undertaking any reasonable request made by Management
